INAUGURATION OF THE NEW HONORARY CONSULATE OF ITALY IN RWANDA

On 5th June, the Ambassador of Italy, H.E. Massimiliano Mazzanti, inaugurated the new Honorary Consulate of Italy in Rwanda in the presence of members of the diplomatic corps and local authorities, including the Director General of Europe and Americas at the Rwandan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ambassador Guillaume Kavaruganda and Senator Innocent Nkurunziza of the Rwandan Senate. The newly appointed Honorary Consul of Italy to Rwanda is Mr. Giovanni Davite, taking over duty of Mr. Bruno Puggia that served effectively as Honorary Consul for almost 20 years.

 

The new offices of the Consulate are located at the centre of Kigali (KG 639 Street, Kimihurura) and will serve the Italian community residing in Kigali, delivering consular services and assistance as well as facilitating the contacts with the Embassy of Italy in Uganda. The Honorary Consulate represents as well a bridge to promote mutually beneficial cooperation between the two Countries
