Consignment of the first shipment of aid for the fight against Covid-19: destination Lacor Hospital

Today, a ceremony for the delivery of medical equipment to Lacor Hospital (Gulu), run by Piero and Lucille Corti Foundation, was accomplished to continue to support Uganda in the fight against Covid-19.

The consignment, which includes various medical equipment such as ventilators, filters, oxygen masks, was symbolically handed over by the Italian Ambassador, H.E. Massimiliano Mazzanti, to the Director for Health Services of the Ugandan Ministry of Health, Dr. Charles Olaro, at the warehouses of the Joint Medical Store. This is the first of other interventions that the Italian Cooperation intends to deliver in favour of Ugandan hospitals. Italy is playing alongside its partners in the emergency response and international alliance on the research for Covid – 19 treatment.
