The President of the Republic of Italy, Sergio Mattarella, has awarded the title of Knight (Cavaliere) of the Order of the Star of Italy to Dr. Monica Imi

“One of the most rewarding activities for an Ambassador is to recognize Italians who excel in the world. It is therefore a great honor and pleasure for me to handover the title and emblems of the Knight (Cavaliere) of the Order of the Star of Italy (Ordine della Stella d’Italia) to Dr. Monica Imi”. These are the words of Ambassador Fornara while handing over the decoration to Dr. Imi who has outstandingly served as medical doctor for years in Uganda. She has worked with Government Institutions and Civil Society Organizations. She is a trusted doctor to the Embassy and an important point of reference for the entire Italian community in Uganda.
