“Vivo d’arte – arti visive”

The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has issued a notice on “Living art – Visual Arts” (fine art, sculpture, video art), in collaboration with the “Museo d’Arte Moderna” (Museum of Modern Art) in Bologna and MiBAC. The objective of this initiative is to enhance and support the creativity and talents of the young Italian artists residing permanently abroad, through the provision of instrument for visibility and promotion of collaboration among the Italian artists as well as the cultural sector in their country of residence.
The initiative also wants to create a network of Italian artists abroad and support the new Italian migration, emphasizing two key contemporary distinguishing hallmarks of Italy in the world: its creativity and the ability of its artistic excellence to express itself also beyond national borders.
In order to be eligible for the contest-prize, the artists must:
a) be of Italian nationality;
b) be registered in “AIRE” for at least two years before the expiry date of the notice;
c) be between 18 and 36 years of age at the date of expiry of the notice;
d) be a proven artist working in a specific area of Visual Art (in all its possible profiles: sculpture, painting, video art, etc.).
The deadline for submitting the applications is 6 of June 2019 at 12 noon (Italian time).
The winner will be hosted, as resident artist, at the Museo d’Arte Moderna di Bologna (MAMbo) in Bologna; the masterpiece created during his/her stay in Italy could become part of the “Collezione Farnesina di Arte Contemporanea” . download the call to find out how to enter
