Commissioning of the Playground built in Grisciano (Italy) thanks also to the proceeds of the fundraising campaign organized in Kampala during the Italian Cultural and Culinary Week in 2016

During the Italian Cultural and Culinary Week, organized from 14 to 18 November 2016, the Embassy of Italy held a fundraising campaign in favor of Grisciano (#KampalaPerGrisciano), a medieval village, hometown of ”pasta alla gricia”, heavily damaged by the earthquake that struck Central Italy on August 24 of that year. The funds raised have been used by the association “Amici di Grisciano” (“Friends of Grisciano”: http://www.associazioneamicidigrisciano.it/) to build a new playground. The facility was commissioned a few days ago during the traditional “Sagra della Gricia” (Gricia Feast) of mid-August. The Embassy warmly thanks all those who contributed.
