The Embassy has given its patronage and hosted, at the Residence of the Ambassador of Italy, a fashion show organized by the Italian NGO AVSI. Designers from Canada, DRC, India, Madagascar, Nigeria and Uganda participated in the event. Artists coming from different experiences, still all being influenced by the vibrant cultural life in Kampala.
The show was organized to fundraise in favor of a workshop on the production of high quality shirts at COWA Centenary Vocational Training School in Nsambia, to be organized in May by AVSI together with “La Bottega dell’Artigianato”, a renowned roman fashion firm.
We warmly thank the Speaker of the Parliament of Uganda, Right and Honorable Rebecca A. Kadaga, who kindly accepted to participate in the event as guest of honor.
