VISA OF ITALY
The Embassy of Italy receives visa applications by appointment which can only be booked on line .
Due to an increase in the number of applications received, applicants for any kind of visa to Italy are advised to book their appointments well in advance of their travel. Visa appointments should be made not earlier than six months ahead of your desired travel date and not later than fifteen days to the travel date. It will not be possible to change already booked appointments. The calendar on PRENOT@MI portal is renewed with new appointments every two weeks. Therefore, applicants are invited to regularly monitor the availability of appointments.
For all visas, applicants must come in person to submit their biometric data and documents.
Please note that the consular fees for the visa application must be paid only in USD cash at the Visa section (no credit cards or other currencies are accepted). The amount varies quarterly depending on the exchange rate.

For applicants residing in Rwanda and Burundi, please note that there is an agreement with the Embassy of Belgium in Kigali and Bujumbura to process Schengen visa application on behalf of Italy.
