A new milestone for sustainable and inclusive cities in Uganda!
On 21 November, the Government of Uganda and the Government of Italy signed a Letter of Intent under the Green Cities Initiative in Action for Africa. The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Hon. Robinah Nabbanja and the FAO Country Representative.
This step strengthens our partnership on key priorities such as:
- ♻️ sustainable waste management
- 🌱 climate resilience
- 🏙️ inclusive urban development
Ugandan authorities expressed strong appreciation for Italy’s support and for the constructive, coherent approach guiding the initiative. The priorities identified—including solid waste management and improved urban food markets—will help build cleaner, greener and more resilient cities.
