Please be informed that from 20:00 (local time) on February 12, 2026 until 02:00 (local time) on February 18, 2026, the VIS system will undergo a temporary operational suspension.
This is a scheduled and urgent technical intervention that will result in the temporary suspension of visa application reception and processing activities, as well as the issuance of entry visas. This suspension will affect the operations of the visa office of the Italian Embassy in Kampala.
Please note that, in order to minimize inconvenience to users, appointments already scheduled will be rescheduled for the days immediately before or after the period affected by the operational suspension, giving due consideration to priority needs and urgent cases.
