During the opening of the 26th Edition of the International Trade Fair (UGITF) in Kampala, the Italian Pavilion was recognized as the “best national Pavilion”.
UGITF, organized by the Uganda Manufacturers Association (UMA), is one of the premier business events in East Africa, and it provides a great opportunity for expansion and networking to participating companies. The inspirational theme of the 2018 Edition is: “enhancing value addition through Industrialization”. The trade fair is held from Tuesday 2nd October to Wednesday 10th October and is hosting about a thousand exhibitors from 28 Countries. About 300.000 trade show goers are expected to visit the trade fair.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by the Ministers of Finance and Economic Planning, Hon. Matia Kasaija, and of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives, Hon. Amelia Kyambadde.
The Italian pavilion was organized by the Italian Trade Agency (ITA/ICE), Addis Abeba Office, in cooperation with the Italian Embassy in Kampala, and was inaugurated by the Italian Ambassador, H. E. Domenico Fornara.
The nine companies representing Italy at the trade fair are:

• EZ GROUP BUILDING EQUIPMENTS, building equipment and scaffolding.
• HYTEK, water treatment plants.
• INJECTA, water treatment and pumps.
• NEW ALFATEL 2002, telecommunication technologies.
• OTC DOORS, doors and interior design.
• TEOFILO ALUMINIUM SOLUTIONS, windows & doors and building material.
• VILLALTA, building equipment and materials.
