According to the Ugandan Authorities, since Entebbe International Airport is still closed, foreign citizens who wish to return to their Country of origin or return to Uganda as legal residents are obliged to notify their Embassies of this intention. Each Embassy will then inform the Uganda Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It is, therefore, recommended that all Italian nationals departing from Entebbe Airport or returning to Uganda should notify this Embassy by sending an email to: sicurezza.kampala@esteri.it, at least five days before the date of travel.
The email should contain the following details of the traveler:
– Name and Surname
– Passport number
– Itinerary of the trip
– Reason for the trip
For those returning to Uganda, please indicate the facility in which you will spend the mandatory quarantine period (14 days). The list of the hotels authorized by the Ugandan Ministry of Health is available here
For diplomats, employees of NGOs or International Organizations, please check whether your employer will take charge of this communication with the Uganda Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
