{"id":1495,"date":"2019-03-12T10:57:49","date_gmt":"2019-03-12T07:57:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ambkampala.esteri.it\/news\/dall_ambasciata\/2019\/03\/r-evolution-fashion-show-contest_0\/"},"modified":"2019-03-12T10:57:49","modified_gmt":"2019-03-12T07:57:49","slug":"r-evolution-fashion-show-contest_0","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ambkampala.esteri.it\/it\/news\/dall_ambasciata\/2019\/03\/r-evolution-fashion-show-contest_0\/","title":{"rendered":"(R)Evolution Fashion Show Contest for Young Talents 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 3rd Italy-Uganda Fashion show-contest, (R)Evolution Fashion Show, will take place on the 22nd of March, 2019, at Sheraton Kampala Hotel (Rwenzori ballroom).<br \/>The event is organized by the Embassy of Italy and CAIU (Cultural Association of Italians in Uganda).<br \/>We have received dozens of applications from young Ugandan designers. An independent jury has selected the best 20, who will produce three outfits each to showcase during the fashion show.<br \/>Professional models and an Italian Olympic gold-medalist will walk the cat-walk.<br \/>The jury will select the best designer, who will fly to Rome (Italy) for a 3-week internship in the fashion studio Lady Bee (which is also participating in the fashion show with its outfits).<br \/>We expect around 300 paying participants. As in previous editions, all proceeds of the event will be devolved to a charity. This year we have chosen WAWI (Women at Work International), for which Stella Atal (one of the most renowned Ugandan fashion designers, and a member of our jury) is goodwill ambassador. The proceeds will help WAWI\u2019s \u201cEnd Fistula\u201d project.
