The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) offers grants to partially cover travel and accommodation expenses for researchers, professors, experts, personalities, and cultural professionals who intend to conduct study or research in Italy or abroad at the invitation of a university or cultural institution.<\/p>\n

A maximum of 10 days of actual cultural or research activity can be funded. Travel must be economy class. The invitation cannot be made conditional on the grant being awarded.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/p>\n

\n\n1<\/div>\n\nObtain an Official Invitation<\/h4>\nThe application is only accepted if accompanied by a formal invitation from a university or cultural institution. Invitations under bilateral Cultural Cooperation Agreements take priority.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n2<\/div>\n\nSubmit the request to the Embassy<\/h4>\nDownload the Application Form<\/a>, fill it, complete it with the required documents and email it to the Italian Embassy in Kampala before\u00a0 June 30, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n3<\/div>\n\nPost-mission documentation<\/h4>\nWithin 10 days of the conclusion of the mission, submit travel documents, a certificate of stay issued by the host organization, and a final report on the activities carried out.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\nThe grant covers activities carried out from January 1 to November 15, 2026. Funds are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, until available resources are exhausted.
