In his early years, he served at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), Directorate General of Italian diaspora and consular affairs<\/p>\n<p>1989 \u2013 1993: Vice Consul in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil)<\/p>\n<p>1993 \u2013 1996: First Secretary in Havana (Cuba)<\/p>\n<p>1996 \u2013 2001: he served at the Directorate General of Italian diaspora and consular affairs, Italy MoFA<\/p>\n<p>2001 \u2013 2002: Counsellor and Deputy Head of Mission in Athens (Greece)<\/p>\n<p>2003 \u2013 2013: he served as Head of several offices in close collaboration with the Director General for Development Cooperation, Italy MoFA<\/p>\n<p>2013 \u2013 2018: Ambassador of Italy to Nairobi (Kenya), accredited also to Port Victoria (Seychelles Islands), to U.N.E.P. (United Nations Environment Program)and\u00a0 H.A.B.I.T.A.T. (United Nations Human Settlements Programme).<\/p>\n<p>2018 \u2013 2021: First Class Consul General of Italy in Lugano (Switzerland)<\/p>\n<p>2021 &#8211; 2023: he served at the Directorate General for Development Cooperation, Italy MoFA<\/p>\n<p>2024 \u2013 Ambassador of Italy to Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi<\/p>\n<p><strong>Merits<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>2007: awarded Knight Official of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic<\/p>\n<p><strong>Studies<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1985: Degree (laurea) in political science, Universit\u00e0 degli Studi di Roma<\/p>\n<p><strong>Languages<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mother tongue Italian.
