As a sign of appreciation for the work performed by the Uganda People Defence Force (UPDF), and also for the fight against COVID-19, the Embassy of Italy in Uganda has facilitated the delivery of two portable respirators donated by the Italian company Leonardo S.p.A.

The ceremonies of the delivery of the two medical equipment to Bombo Military Hospital and State House Military Hospital took place on October 26 and 27 in the presence of major military Authorities (including the Chief of the Defence Forces, Gen. David Muhoozi). Until now, the two Military Hospital had no ventilation units.

The local press has given great importance to both donations, considering the gesture as a sign of great attention of Italy and an example of a strengthened bilateral partnership with the UPDF.
