G7 Summit Taormina (Prov. Messina – Italy) from 26th to 27th of May 2017

This is to inform that on the occasion of the next G7 Summit that will take place in Taormina (Prov. Messina – Italy) from 26th to 27th of May 2017, in accordance with art. 25 of Visa Code (EU Reg. 2016/399 of March 9th 2016), the Schengen Agreement on free circulation of citizens will be suspended in order to ensure the necessary safety during the event. For that reason all the entry borders to Italy will be subject to control by the Italian Immigration Authorities. The measure will be implement from 00.00 hrs of the 10th of May and will end on 24.00 hrs of the 30th May 2017.
The Italian Government is aware that this measure might cause distress to all travellers entry or transit to Italy and apologizes for the inconvenience.
